MANCHESTER, N.H. — Angie Rowntree, founder and director of Sssh.com, is celebrating five 2021 XBIZ Awards nominations, including four nods for Rowntree’s latest original film, the erotic thriller “Mirror Game.”

“I’m extremely proud of ‘Mirror Game’ and all the work that has gone into it,” Rowntree said. “I’m also thrilled to have Sssh.com nominated for ‘Erotic Site of the Year,’ which speaks to the year-round effort we put in to offering our members great movies, content and outstanding interactive features.”

“We truly are porn reimagined,” said Rowntree.

The studio’s full list of nominations for “Mirror Game” includes “Erotic-Themed Movie of the Year,” “Best Music” for Roland Moralis’ “brilliant musical score,” noted Rowntree, “Best Editing” and “Best Art Direction.”

“I would like to express my deepest thanks and gratitude for these nominations. Being recognized by XBIZ is such a rewarding validation,” Rowntree said.

In “Mirror Game,” a rep explained, June Ann plays Giselle Korba, a woman in the process of having her life uprooted when her husband Michael (Rob Gadling) accepts a new job in another part of the country. Upon arrival in her new home, an increasingly dissatisfied Giselle happens across an old book in a local occult shop — one the proprietress of the store warns Giselle against buying. Unaware of her own connection to the book, or the danger she is in, it’s only a matter of time before Giselle is in over her head—and also out of her mind, body and soul.

“Mirror Game” has also recently received praise from a number of mainstream film festivals.
